Radon test simple, crucial

She never would have spotted the invader -- radon, an invisible and odorless naturally occurring gas -- without the help of a $10 detector.
The state Department of Environmental Quality estimates that one in eight Michigan homes has a radon problem, although the Saginaw County Department of Public Health doesn't have estimates.
