The radon risk

Date Published: 01/15/2007 [Source]

Chris and Margaret Goebel found a nice ranch house in rural Valders to buy. The only problem? Eliminating high levels of radon gas from the home.

The home seller, who agreed to pay for radon mitigation as a condition of the sale, informed the Goebels that the home contained seven times more radon than is considered healthy. The odorless, colorless, tasteless, radioactive gas is considered a health risk for causing lung cancer.
