Cherokee Nation Offering Free Radon Testing


The Cherokee Nation is participating in a nationwide campaign to educate residents about the dangers of radon exposure during the month of January in recognition of National Radon Action Month.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that radon exposure is responsible for more than 20,000 lung cancer deaths per year, and it is considered the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S.
