The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse announced Thursday six honorees of distinguished alumni awards.
James Burkhardt, '68, Bachelors in Physics and Math. Internationally recognized for his work in radon science and the development of radon testing equipment to reduce radon-inducing lung cancer.
The six will return to the university on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19 for events surrounding the awards banquet.
