Homeowner discovers – and ends – radon threat

Date Published: 04/24/2009 [Source]

A homeowner in Saint Croic County, Wisconsin, purchased a discounted radon test kit from The Planning and Zoning Office at the St. Croix County Government Center. The results were 25 picocuries per liter, above the EPA recommended limit of 4 picocuries per liter. The homeowner hired a local contractor to mitigate the radon levels, which are now below 4 pCiL.

One in three Hudson area homes that have been tested are above the EPA recommended limit.
