Four Marion County child care centers have been awarded the Indiana Department of Environmental Management's (IDEM's) Five Star Environmental Recognition Program for Child Care Facilities. In order to achieve the award, the facilities must recycle items such as plastic and paper and test for radon, in addition to other measures to reduce exposure to environmental health and safety risks.
