A lengthy list of new laws developed during the 2007-08 legislative session are now going into effect. These include one mandating that buyers of residential real estate property be notified if the property contains radon gas. Buyers also have to be told about the cancer risks of exposure to radon and the health department recommendations to test for the gas.
