A former racetrack near Blue Grass in Muscatine County will become a pond and up to 28 homes will be built on 30-acres surrounding it.
In other business, the Board approved an Iowa Department of Public Health Service agreement that will pay for two county employees to attend training presentations on mold, moisture, radon, lead paint and other home health inspection issues. The grant will also pay for the students to teach some of the material to local community groups or agencies.
